What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Receiving Clerk at The Building Company, located in Cape Flats, Cape Town. The role involves working in a retail environment where you will handle incoming stock and ensure everything is processed correctly.

What you will do

You will receive and check stock deliveries by matching delivery notes to order forms. You will monitor stock levels and ensure goods are correctly labeled, binned, and displayed. You will also report any damaged stock and make sure all items are priced accurately. Additional tasks include managing buyouts, handling returned goods, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will also help with stock-takes and dispatching stock when needed. Part of your role is to support the company’s values and culture.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate (Matric) and at least one year of experience in a similar role, such as working in a distribution center. You should be able to pick, pack, move, and count stock, as well as receive and dispatch stock from a distribution center. Basic computer skills are required for this position.
