This job is for a Quality, Risk & Compliance Director who will work with a leading South African financial institution. You will be responsible for ensuring the service provided is controlled, neutral, compliant, and ready for audits. The role is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and is a contract position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the quality, risk, and governance of a managed service handling the entire contractor lifecycle (requisitions, onboarding, timesheets, billing, and exits).
- Manage control framework, policy, and obligation register, ensuring roles and access are clearly defined. Conduct control testing and report results to client’s risk and audit teams.
- Oversee conflict register, recusal log, and declarations, conducting quarterly conflict reviews and investigating breaches.
- Maintain risk register and report significant risks or dependencies to the client. Support internal and external audits by providing complete evidence packs.
- Chair quality and risk forums and work closely with the Compliance and Regulatory Lead.

Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent professional qualification in risk, audit, or compliance.
- At least 10 years of experience in finance, risk, audit, or governance, especially in a regulated environment.
- Experience designing and testing controls, including segregation of duties.
- Strong skills in financial governance, risk management, and internal control design.
- Skilled in independence, conflict management, executive reporting, and governance tools.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
