What the job is

This is a Programme Manager position at Right To Care, a healthcare organization based in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on managing health programmes funded by private sources. The job is a contract position, and the company is looking for someone who can oversee and improve health services in the region.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of various health programmes. This includes managing relationships with stakeholders at provincial and district levels. You will ensure that clinical information systems are properly overseen and that direct service delivery programmes run smoothly. Additionally, you will provide training and support to teams, manage contracts with the Department of Health and partners, and develop new strategies for programme implementation. You will also test and roll out these strategies in designated areas and supervise regional coordinators and project managers.

What you need

You must have a degree in a health-related field or at least 7 years of relevant experience. A course in HIV Management is a plus. You should have a certificate in project management or a strong understanding of it. Proficiency in English is required. You need computer skills, report writing skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to network effectively. Personal attributes include attention to detail, logical thinking, proactivity, and the ability to work independently. You must have a valid driver’s license, your own car, and be willing to travel nationally on a regular basis.
