What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Production Supervisor at a leading Agricultural Feed Mill in Delmas, Mpumalanga. The company is looking for a dedicated and hands-on supervisor to oversee the production of animal feed and ensure high standards of quality and efficiency. The role is based at a busy feed mill and requires someone who can manage production processes and lead a team effectively.

What you will do

You will oversee the production of animal feed, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and meet quality standards. You will manage and operate complex production systems and programs, with training provided. Leading and managing a team of plant workers and casual staff during assigned shifts will be part of your responsibilities. You will also ensure the proper maintenance and operation of heavy machinery, including forklifts. Additionally, you will enforce strict health and safety protocols, supervise the loading and unloading of products, and report regularly to the Shift Manager about production progress and any issues. Printing product labels and ensuring proper labeling of feed batches will also be required.

What you need

You must have a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture and at least 2 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a Feed Mill. Experience with production software and systems is necessary. You should be physically fit, able to operate heavy machinery, and comfortable working at heights. Strong people management skills and the ability to work on a rotating shift system, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, are essential. Normal color vision, good health without epilepsy, and the ability to work independently are also required. Own transport is preferable due to the location and shift hours.
