This job is for a Production Manager at Afgri, based at the Klipheuwel site in the Western Cape. The role involves overseeing production processes, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations while adhering to laws, customer rules, quality standards, and company policies. Responsibilities include planning and managing production activities, advising on strategic initiatives, budget management, process improvement, resource optimization, and compliance with safety, health, risk, environment, and quality regulations. The ideal candidate must have a diploma or degree in Production Management or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing, including 5 years in a management role. Experience in animal feeds manufacturing is advantageous. Strong team management, cost control, and knowledge of OEE and waste management are required.
