Lesaka Technologies is looking for a Production Assistant to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a permanent position for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to grow in a practical production environment. As a Production Assistant, you will help with assembling electrical and mechanical parts, including wiring panels and putting together sub-assemblies. You will use and maintain workshop tools like drills, soldering equipment, and other basic tools to complete tasks such as drilling, soldering, and general assembly work. The job also involves supporting office and facility maintenance when needed, such as fixing small issues or helping with generator operations and maintenance. Safety and quality standards must always be followed to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

To qualify for this role, you must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be fluent in both written and spoken English. At least one year of experience working with electrical sub-assemblies is required, along with hands-on experience in panel wiring and mechanical or electrical assembly. Practical knowledge of electricity, gained through work experience, and comfort using common DIY tools like drills and soldering equipment are essential. Basic computer skills and experience in general office or facility maintenance would be a plus.
