Production and Electrical Maintenance Supervisor (Fitter & Turner)

A leading company that makes concrete roof tiles is looking for an experienced Production and Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to work in Riverhorse Valley, Durban. This role requires someone skilled in fixing and maintaining electrical equipment in factories and managing a team of workers. The job involves overseeing production in two factories, ensuring machines run smoothly, and maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on machines and production equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, motors, and control circuits. - Maintain electrical panels, motors, conveyors, and automated packing machines to prevent breakdowns. - Monitor daily production metrics (output, quality, waste, downtime) to meet targets while minimizing costs. - Schedule maintenance without disrupting production. - Lead a team of production and maintenance staff, assigning tasks, enforcing safety protocols, and providing training. - Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements: - Qualification in electrical maintenance or a related trade. - Minimum 5 years of factory/industrial experience. - Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with three-phase motors, VFDs, PLCs, and sensors. - Proven ability to manage teams and communicate effectively. - Familiarity with automated systems and basic mechanical skills.
