Procurement Specialist role at Samancor in Gauteng. Responsible for managing procurement of goods and capital expenditure (Capex) to optimize costs and improve efficiency. Key duties include cost analysis, supplier negotiations, risk management (safety, health, environment, quality), contract lifecycle management, and process improvement initiatives. Must support Black Business spending and enterprise development programs. Requires a degree/diploma in Commerce, Law, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management with 4+ years of procurement experience. Proficiency in Microsoft programs and Samancor systems (IMS, EBMS, Chromedoc, SAP, Coupa, MES) is essential. Strong legal, supply chain, and mining industry knowledge required, including Mining Charter, B-BBEE Act, and Code of Good Practice. Skills in leadership, problem-solving, planning, communication, and adaptability are critical.
