This is a full-time position for a Process Shift Electrician at Samancor’s Steelpoort facility. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical equipment in a mining environment, specifically at the Pelletising and Sintering Plant. Responsibilities include: maintaining transformers, conveyor belts, vibrating feeders, and screens; handling unplanned breakdowns; managing rotables; operating mobile equipment; and ensuring compliance with SHEQ requirements. Qualifications include Grade 12/N3, Electrician Trade Test, and 3+ years of relevant experience in a Pelletising and Sintering Plant environment. Familiarity with Microsoft programs and Samancor’s systems (IMS, EBMS, Chromedoc, SAP, MES) is required.
