What the job is: This part-time job is for a Front Shop Assistant at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Vorna Valley, Midrand, Gauteng. You will work in a retail pharmacy environment, assisting customers and maintaining shop organization and stock according to company standards.

What you will do:
- Ensure all products are neatly displayed and check sell-by dates.
- Restock items when stock runs low and follow up on out-of-stock requests.
- Handle deliveries, stock storage, and price tag accuracy.
- Maintain a tidy storeroom and learn about new products.
- Process payments (cash, cards, vouchers, coupons) and manage returns/exchanges.
- Handle loyalty cards, cash security, and transaction accuracy.
- Assist with stock rotation, reporting low/expired stock, and stock counts.
- Load/unload stock, flatten boxes, and maintain a clean shop.
- Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, and report feedback.
- Train new team members and follow company policies.

What you need:
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric or Senior Certificate).
- Up to 6 months of retail experience preferred (1 year or Retail Business Management certification advantageous).
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Good communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to ask for help.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP knowledge preferred.
- South African citizenship with a clean criminal record.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Availability for retail hours (evenings, weekends, or holidays).
