This is a full-time operator position at FFS Refiners (Pty) Ltd, based at their Durban Tank Terminal. You will work under a team leader and be responsible for helping with the loading and unloading of trucks and ships, as well as maintaining terminal operations. Key responsibilities include controlling liquid transfers between storage tanks and ships, monitoring measurements (flow rates, tank levels, temperature), manually checking tank levels, and taking samples. You will also supervise ship preparations, inspect equipment, assist with maintenance, and ensure adherence to safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards. Reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to work at heights are essential. Good communication skills in English are required. A Matric certificate is mandatory, with 2 years of experience in liquid bulk storage or manufacturing preferred. A National Diploma in Chemical Engineering is advantageous but not required.
