Western Cape Blood Service in Cape Town, Western Cape, is looking for 4 interns to join their one-year program. This internship is for students who want to become Medical Laboratory Scientists in blood transfusion.

What the job is
You will work in a blood service center. You will learn how to collect, test, and prepare blood for patients who need it. This is a great chance to start your career in healthcare.

What you will do
- Get hands-on training in blood collection and testing.
- Work with experts who will guide and teach you.
- Follow safety rules for blood transfusion.
- Help patients by ensuring safe blood is available.
- Work as part of a team and sometimes do shift work.

What you need
- A Matric certificate.
- You must be a 3rd-year student studying BHSc (Bachelor of Health Science).
- You must have passed Immunohaematology with at least 50%.
- You must be registered with HPCSA as a student Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- You must know how to use a computer.
- You should be friendly, good at communicating, and enjoy working with others.
- You must pay attention to details and be willing to solve problems.
