What the job is: This job is for a Medical Insurance Sales Representative based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will work with a company that helps doctors, hospitals, and healthcare professionals get the right insurance coverage. Your role is to sell specialized insurance products like medical malpractice and cyber insurance to clients in the healthcare industry.

What you will do: You will be responsible for finding and attracting new clients in the medical and healthcare fields. This includes talking to doctors, specialists, general practitioners, hospitals, and other healthcare workers to build strong relationships with them. You will explain how medical malpractice and cyber insurance work in clear and professional meetings. Your job is also to understand what each client needs and suggest the best insurance solutions for them. You must meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets while growing your list of clients through referrals and new opportunities. Keeping up with changes in the insurance industry and regulations is important, and you will need to keep accurate records of all client interactions, quotes, and sales activities.

What you need: To qualify for this job, you must have a RE5 qualification, which is essential and cannot be negotiated. You should have at least two years of experience working as an insurance representative. Experience in sales, business development, and meeting sales targets is a must. Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas confidently are very important. You need to be professional, well-spoken, and able to work on your own while also taking the initiative to find new business opportunities. A valid driver’s license and your own reliable car are required, as you will need to travel to different places, including other provinces when necessary.
