What the job is

This is a position for a Medical Aid Sales Consultant at Bestmed Medical Scheme, based in Pretoria, Gauteng. The role involves promoting Bestmed as the preferred medical aid option for potential members and helping them choose the right plan.

What you will do

You will recruit new members to Bestmed and ensure they are matched to the correct medical scheme option. You will attract a healthy risk pool to the scheme and sell appropriate options to increase customer lifetime. You will follow FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) regulations, including treating clients fairly, conducting suitability analyses, giving appropriate advice, and maintaining proper records and processes.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics (Symbol E or higher) or Maths Literacy (Symbol C or higher). You also need a FAIS Regulatory Exam 5 for Representatives, which must be obtained within 24 months of starting the role. A tertiary qualification, such as a National Diploma or Degree, is required. You must have at least 3 years of experience in a sales position.
