What the job is

Frogfoot Networks is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This role is based in the Eastern and Southern Cape regions and involves overseeing the maintenance and installation of FTTB (Fibre to the Building) and FTTH (Fibre to the Home) services. The position is permanent and remote, allowing you to work from a location within these areas.

What you will do

You will plan, coordinate, and assign maintenance tasks to your team. This includes creating daily work schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring all maintenance and installation work meets the required standards. You will lead and support the maintenance team, monitor their performance, and address any issues that arise. Additionally, you will manage customer requirements, liaise with internal departments, and prepare accurate reports on maintenance activities. You will also handle fibre installation, fault finding, testing, splicing, and duct and cable installation.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate (Grade 12) and at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. At least 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience is required. Practical knowledge of civil works, fibre installation, fibre testing, fibre reinstatements, site builds, fault finding, and fibre splicing is essential. You should also have strong planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions is important.
