Maintenance and Utilities Engineer

A packaging manufacturing company in Johannesburg, Gauteng is looking for a Services Engineer. This person will take care of machines and utilities like water, air, and electricity in the factory.

What the job is You will work day shifts only. Your main job is to keep the factory running smoothly by servicing machines, fixing problems, and making sure everything is safe and working well.

What you will do - Service and maintain compressors and utility equipment. - Plan and carry out maintenance for water, air, and electricity systems. - Make sure all work meets the required standards. - Ensure contractors follow safety rules. - Do regular checks to prevent breakdowns. - Help solve engineering problems. - Keep track of utility costs and stay within budget. - Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions. - Keep the workplace clean and tidy.

What you need - A technical qualification in mechanical engineering or something similar. - 3 to 5 years of experience in a factory or production environment. - Good understanding of mechanical and basic electrical work. - Ability to use a computer. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Strong focus on safety. - Valid driver’s licence. - Willing to work overtime or standby when needed.
