What the job is: This job is for a Logistics Coordinator who will support a clearing, forwarding, and logistics company in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. The company handles local and cross-border freight and requires an organized professional to manage operations smoothly.

What you will do:
- Arrange and confirm pickups, deliveries, and transport schedules for shipments.
- Verify shipment documents (packing lists, invoices, permits) before dispatch.
- Track shipments from origin to destination, including cross-border movements, and follow up on delays.
- Update customers on shipment status, arrival times, and changes.
- Manage proof of delivery, report issues (e.g., damaged goods, delays), and maintain shipment records.
- Coordinate with warehouses, packers, and customers to ensure proper packing.
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to resolve issues (e.g., customs, transport breakdowns) and obtain approvals for additional arrangements.

What you need:
- Knowledge of logistics/transport, especially road freight and clearing/forwarding processes.
- Experience with import/export documents (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices).
- Attention to detail, multitasking, and clear communication with customers/drivers/service providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email.
- Preference for experience in freight forwarding, transport coordination, or customs clearance.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules.
