What the job is

A well-known packaging company in Germiston, Gauteng, is hiring a Logistics and Warehouse Manager. This is a permanent position with Hire Resolve, where you will lead and oversee all warehouse and logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate handling of goods. You will work closely with various teams to improve processes and maintain high standards in inventory control, dispatch, and transport.

What you will do

You will manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. You will monitor stock levels, warehouse space, and inventory accuracy to prevent errors or shortages. You will plan and oversee transport routes, delivery schedules, and transporter performance to ensure on-time and cost-effective deliveries. You will lead and train warehouse staff, ensuring they follow safety rules, use equipment correctly, and meet performance targets. You will also prepare reports, solve delivery issues, and work with other departments to fix operational problems.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate or equivalent, plus a diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or a related field. You need at least 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience with inventory systems, ERP or WMS software, and Microsoft Excel is required. Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, transport planning, and team management is essential. A valid driver’s license is also needed for travel between sites.

What you will get
