What the job is

This is a Junior Refrigeration Technician position at CBRE Excellerate, a leading company in commercial real estate and facilities management services. The job is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and involves working with refrigeration and air-conditioning systems in various managed facilities.

What you will do

You will support the maintenance of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems by performing routine servicing, basic fault finding, and repairs on equipment like DX units, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF systems, and split systems. You will carry out assigned preventive and reactive maintenance tasks under supervision, ensuring all work meets health, safety, and quality standards. You will also identify defective parts, recommend replacements, and perform basic troubleshooting. Additionally, you will report unsafe conditions immediately and escalate complex issues to senior technicians.

What you need

You need a certificate or diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related field. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration or HVAC maintenance is required. You should have practical knowledge of DX units, split units, freezers, cold rooms, and preferably VRV/VRF systems. Skills in routine maintenance, basic fault finding, component replacement, brazing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging are essential. You must also understand safety procedures, including refrigerant handling and lockout-tagout (LOTO) requirements.
