This is a full-time job opening for a Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor at a quantity surveying consultancy firm based in Somerset West, Western Cape. The company is looking for someone with fresh skills or limited experience to join their team and grow in the construction and engineering industry.

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing construction project costs, measurements, and financial planning. Your role will involve working closely with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure projects stay on budget and meet deadlines. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze project data, and help with contract negotiations. Additionally, you will support the team in reviewing invoices, tracking expenses, and maintaining accurate financial records for construction projects.

To qualify for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or BSc (Honours) degree in Quantity Surveying. The ideal candidate will either be a recent graduate or have up to two years of experience in quantity surveying. Registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) is a plus but not required. You should be comfortable using software like WinQS and Microsoft Office, with any additional quantity surveying software being a benefit. Strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems are essential. Good communication and teamwork skills are also important, as you will work closely with others.
