Managed People Solutions is offering an internship opportunity for young, unemployed, and ambitious TVET students in the Northern Suburbs of the Western Cape. This program is specifically for those who have completed their N6 TVET College Certificate and are looking to gain the required 18 months of workplace experience to qualify for their N6 Diploma. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience and industry knowledge in a supportive work environment.

As a Junior Merchandiser, your main tasks will include managing stock on shelves to ensure products are well-presented and easily accessible. You will be responsible for checking the quality of products, verifying that price tags are correct, and making sure stock is rotated properly. Your role will also involve following a set merchandising schedule to keep store displays up to date and attractive.

You will handle customer feedback by addressing complaints, answering questions, and providing information about products and promotions. Keeping accurate records of your merchandising activities will be important, as well as reporting any issues, such as out-of-stock products, to your supervisor. Additionally, you will be expected to make scheduled calls to stores or clients as part of your duties.

To qualify for this internship, you must be under 28 years old and have completed your N6 TVET Certificate in one of the following fields: Management Assistant, Business Management, or Marketing Management. No prior work experience in merchandising is required, but a strong interest in retail, attention to detail, and good communication skills will be beneficial.

This internship offers a monthly stipend of R3,500 for the duration of the 18-month program.
