Managed People Solutions is offering an internship opportunity for young, unemployed, and ambitious TVET students in Worcester, Western Cape. This program is specifically for those who have completed their N6 TVET College Certificate and are looking to finish their 18-month workplace experience to qualify for their N6 Diploma. The role is for a Junior Merchandiser, where you will gain practical experience in the wine and spirits industry.

As a Junior Merchandiser, your main tasks will include checking and managing stock on shelves. You will determine which products need to be merchandised and draw up stock requirements based on what is needed. You will also inspect products for quality, check that price tags are correct, and ensure stock is rotated properly. Following the merchandising cycle brief, you will carry out all necessary merchandising activities, such as setting up displays and promotions.

Another important part of your role is handling customer feedback. You will address complaints, answer questions, and provide information about products and promotions. Keeping accurate records of all merchandising activities is also part of your job, as is making scheduled calls to stores or clients. If you notice products that are out of stock, you will report this to your Regional Sales Manager (RSM) so they can take action.

To apply for this internship, you must be under 28 years old and have completed your N6 TVET Certificate in one of the following fields: Management Assistant, Business Management, or Marketing Management. No prior work experience in merchandising is required, but you should be eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are important for this role.

This internship comes with a monthly stipend of R3,500. The program lasts for 18 months, giving you plenty of time to gain valuable experience and skills in the wine and spirits industry.
