This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Merchandiser Intern to join a team working with leading liquor and retail brands in Somerset West, Western Cape. The role is perfect for someone who wants to start or grow their career in a fast-paced retail environment. You will get hands-on experience in creating attractive product displays and working closely with top brands in-store.

As a Junior Merchandiser Intern, your main tasks will include checking which products need to be displayed and ensuring the right stock is available in stores. You will inspect products to make sure they are in good condition, correctly priced, and properly rotated. Setting up products according to company standards is also part of your role, along with reporting any customer issues or requests to the team.

You will keep detailed records of all merchandising activities and regularly check for out-of-stock items, reporting them to management when needed. Staying updated on new products, promotions, and brand guidelines is important, as well as visiting stores according to a set schedule. You will also work with the Regional Sales Manager to address any stock shortages or problems in stores.

To qualify for this internship, you must be under 28 years old and currently unemployed. You should not have participated in a similar internship program before. The most important qualification is holding a Diploma in either Marketing Management or Business Management. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team are also essential.

This internship offers a monthly stipend of R5,000 for a contract period of 18 months. You will work 9 hours a day, including a lunch break, in a dynamic and supportive environment. This is a great chance to gain practical experience in the retail and liquor industry while working with well-known brands.
