What the job is

This is a Junior Art Director position at 99 Cents, a company based in Cape Town. The role is part of the advertising industry and focuses on creating exciting promotional designs for a national retail client. What you will do

You will work as part of a team under a Group Head and Creative Director to create and execute advertising campaigns based on client and internal briefs. You will present your work confidently to clients and senior creatives. You will design and conceptualize ideas, ensuring high standards of execution and attention to detail. You will collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments. You will stay positive and curious, even under pressure, and always look for new and interesting ideas.

What you need

You must have a relevant tertiary qualification and at least one year of experience as an Art Director in a large or integrated advertising agency. You also need at least three years of experience in a high-volume work environment. Strong skills in design software like InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator are required. Experience with social media design and digital or experiential advertising is a plus. You should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while supporting the agency’s creative goals.
