Junior Accountant

What the job is A real estate company in Midrand, Gauteng is looking for a Junior Accountant. You need to have finished your accounting training (SAICA or SAIPA articles) and have 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting. This is a full-time job.

What you will do - Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts. - Handle month-end and year-end accounting tasks. - Post journals, accruals, and reconcile the general ledger. - Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts. - Calculate VAT and submit tax forms. - Help with yearly audits and provide audit documents. - Make sure everything follows accounting rules and laws. - Prepare financial analysis and reports for management. - Assist with budgeting and forecasting. - Monitor cash flow and help with treasury tasks. - Check debtor and creditor accounts. - Improve financial controls and accounting processes. - Work with other teams to provide financial support. - Do general accounting tasks as needed.

What you need - A degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting. - Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles. - 2 to 5 years of accounting experience, including articles. - Experience using CaseWare software. - Good knowledge of South African accounting rules and tax laws. - Experience preparing financial statements and reports. - Strong Excel skills. - Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to work alone and meet deadlines.
