What the job is
A company in the vehicle manufacturing industry is looking for an IT System Administrator who specializes in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. The job is based in Boksburg, Gauteng. You will manage IT systems, focusing on AX 2012, keep the systems secure, and help with global projects.

What you will do
Set up, maintain, and improve Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. This includes managing user access, fixing problems, and making sure the system runs smoothly.
Look after the SQL database, check backups, and make sure everything works well.
Help with EDI projects and manage how AX 2012 connects with other systems.
Work with developers and consultants to make changes and improvements to the system.
Keep the AX 2012 servers and related software running properly.
Help with IT support for servers and networks, and assist users when needed.
Write and update documents about IT systems, processes, and security.
Train users on how to use Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
Help with disaster recovery plans and make sure backups work.
Work on global IT projects and follow instructions from headquarters.
Test and document changes to the system before they go live.

What you need
Good knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
Experience with Microsoft ERP systems and SQL scripting.
ITIL 4 Foundation and Agile project management knowledge.
Good English communication skills.
At least 5 years of experience in IT, preferably with ERP systems.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to use a company car if needed.
Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required.
