What the job is

A leading insurance company is hiring an Intermediate Test Analyst to join their team in Sandton, Gauteng. This role involves working closely with the IT department to ensure that software solutions are tested thoroughly before they are released. The position is based in Morningside, which is part of the Sandton area.

What you will do

You will create test cases and test plans based on user requirements. You will perform different types of testing, including functional, integration, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on various applications. You will identify, analyze, and document any programming errors and verify that fixes are properly implemented. You will communicate test results to project stakeholders and train users for UAT. You will also develop training manuals when needed and support project delivery through effective testing and quality assurance.

What you need

You must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in manual testing and a good understanding of SQL and Web API. Knowledge of JSON files, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and boundary analysis is required. Experience with test automation practices and tools is also necessary. A qualification in Test Analysis, such as ISTQB, will be an advantage.
