Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist

This job is for an Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist at Samancor in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for maintaining measurement, control, and automation equipment to ensure smooth production, safety, and efficiency. Key duties include fixing high-cost breakdowns, analyzing maintenance performance, and minimizing plant downtime. The role involves leading a maintenance team, managing performance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. You will also respond to production stops, analyze equipment failures, manage external worker contracts, and optimize maintenance schedules. Qualifications include a degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Industrial Automation Engineering with 6 years' experience (4 years for internal candidates). Experience with Siemens PLCs, SCADA systems, and Profibus networks is preferred. A valid driver's license (minimum B/Code 8) is required.
