What the job is
A renewable energy company in Pretoria, Gauteng is looking for a leader to run their Commercial and Industrial (C&I) division. You will be in charge of selling solar and energy storage solutions to businesses. The job is based in Pretoria and you will work full-time.

What you will do
- Lead the C&I division to meet sales and growth targets.
- Create and carry out sales plans for solar and battery energy solutions.
- Offer financial options like payment plans and power purchase agreements.
- Explain the benefits of renewable energy to clients, such as cost savings and tax incentives.
- Build and manage a sales team, setting clear goals and helping them succeed.
- Make sure all projects follow local rules and regulations.
- Keep track of sales progress using a CRM system.
- Work with clients to understand their needs and offer the right solutions.
- Improve sales processes to get better results.
What you need
- A degree or diploma in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience selling to businesses.
- At least 3 years of experience in solar or renewable energy sales.
- Proven success in closing large solar projects (50kWp to 1MW or bigger).
- Experience leading a sales team and meeting sales targets.
- Good understanding of financial terms like ROI, payback periods, and tax incentives.
- Knowledge of solar systems, batteries, and how they connect to the grid.
- Familiarity with regulations for small-scale energy generation and utility rules.
- Experience using CRM tools to manage sales.
- Training in sales methods is a plus.
- Certifications or memberships in renewable energy groups are helpful.
- Existing contacts in commercial property, farming, or facilities management are a bonus.
