Head of Commercial - Africa Division

This is a permanent leadership role at Fraser Alexander, a company in the mining industry. You will be based in South Africa and lead the commercial side of the Africa Division. Your main focus will be growing the business by finding new opportunities, managing projects, and ensuring profitability while controlling risks.

Key Responsibilities: - Identify and develop new projects (traditional and modern solutions) and convert potential deals into contracts. - Manage client relationships, track payments, and resolve issues while maintaining an updated customer relationship system. - Prepare and submit tenders, review technical/financial details, and negotiate contracts for optimal terms. - Handle contract-related tasks, including supplier negotiations, payment processing, and compliance.

Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying (MBA preferred). - 8–15 years of contracting experience, preferably in mining or similar industries. - Experience managing large, complex projects and cross-border commercial deals in Africa. - Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
