This is a full-time leadership role for a Group Technology Leader at a well-known restaurant chain based in Midrand, Gauteng. The company operates in South Africa, Cyprus, the UK, and other international markets. Responsibilities include leading all technology-related functions across restaurants and head offices, ensuring systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with business goals. Key tasks involve developing technology strategy, managing POS systems, digital menus, payments, KDS, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and networking. You will oversee the Cloud POS program, integrate third-party platforms, and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues. Ownership of the company’s data and reporting framework (Azure, Databricks, Power BI) is required, including delivering reliable reports for executives, operational teams, and franchisees. The role also involves leading AI and automation adoption, managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance (POPIA, GDPR), and developing the technology team. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, with at least 10 years of experience in technology, data, and restaurant systems. Technical skills required include POS systems, data platforms, AI tools, cybersecurity, and compliance experience.
