What the job is

This is a Group Finance Manager role at Aspen Pharma Group, based in Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal. The job focuses on managing financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting for the company’s business units and group functions. You will work closely with leadership teams to improve financial performance, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic decisions across the organization.

What you will do

You will monitor and evaluate the financial performance of different business units, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends. You will prepare and review annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to ensure they align with company goals. You will also oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Additionally, you will assess strategic projects, investments, and cost-saving initiatives, while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with company policies. You will work to standardize and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting across the group.

What you need

You must be a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or have an equivalent professional finance qualification with at least five years of experience in financial management, planning, or analysis. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and business partnering is required. You should also have strong skills in costing, working capital management, and financial modeling. Knowledge of pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industries is a plus. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, along with experience using ERP and business intelligence systems, are essential. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also needed.
