This is a full-time job for a Full Stack Engineer with strong Python skills to join a fast-growing company in the AI and financial technology (fintech) industry. The company is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and is working on advanced AI tools that help wealth managers get better insights and serve their clients more effectively. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building web applications from start to finish. You will work closely with the engineering team to turn new product ideas into real, scalable solutions that work well in production. Your responsibilities will include developing both the front-end and back-end parts of the application, ensuring they work together smoothly. You will also work with AI-powered features, such as integrating large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, to create intelligent and user-friendly tools.

To succeed in this role, you need at least five years of experience building full-stack web applications that are already in use by real users. You should have strong skills in front-end development, including TypeScript and React, and be able to create high-quality user interfaces. On the back-end, you must be experienced with Python frameworks like FastAPI or Django, and have a good understanding of how to design and build APIs. Experience with AI and machine learning, such as working with LLM APIs or vector search, is a must. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as tools like Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), will be very helpful.

This is a permanent position offering a cost-to-company salary of up to R800,000 per year, depending on your experience and skills.
