What the job is

This is a Financial Accountant position at Aspen Pharma Group, located in Mauritius. Aspen Global Incorporated (AGI) is a well-known pharmaceutical company that supplies life-saving medicines to over 100 countries. The company has a diverse team of over 200 employees from more than 20 nationalities and works with 60 subsidiaries worldwide.

What you will do

You will handle general accounting tasks such as preparing and posting ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and managing working capital cycles like inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. You will also assist with financial reporting, including month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. Additionally, you will support budgeting, financial performance analysis, and risk management, while collaborating with internal and external auditors as needed.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, banking, or a related field, along with partial qualifications like ACCA, ACA, or CIMA. At least 3 years of experience in finance, including general accounting and reporting, is required. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with multinational companies or audit work is a plus.
