What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Factory Shop Supervisor at Libstar’s Lancewood division in Epping, Cape Town, Western Cape. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the factory shop, ensuring smooth sales, customer service, and stock management. It is a permanent job based on-site at the company’s location.

What you will do

You will support the Factory Shop Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets by monitoring daily sales performance and implementing approved prices, promotions, and markdowns. You will supervise store operations during shifts, ensuring the shop opens and closes safely, and manage staff performance, customer queries, and store cleanliness. You will also handle stock management, including monitoring stock levels, assisting with orders, verifying deliveries, and participating in monthly stock takes. Additionally, you will supervise cash management, process transactions accurately, and maintain administrative records. Leading and motivating employees, conducting training, and promoting teamwork are also key parts of the role.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4 qualification, with a retail, business, or supervisory qualification being an advantage. You need at least 5 years of retail experience and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, POS systems, Syspro, TRAILD, and Opstol, are required. You should also have strong leadership, communication, and numerical skills, as well as attention to detail and knowledge of retail operations and food safety. You must be willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and travel between factory shops when needed.
