What the job is

What you will do
You will look after the daily running of buildings. This includes maintenance, cleaning, and utilities. You will check that systems like air conditioning, electricity, and plumbing work well. You will manage extra services not covered by regular contracts. You will work with contractors and maintenance staff. You will set up plans to prevent problems before they happen. You will make sure the building follows health, safety, and environmental rules. You will watch facility costs and manage the budget. You will handle emergencies and fix problems quickly. You will track how well vendors perform. You will help make the workplace better for employees.

What you need
You need a bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field. You must have at least two years of experience in facility management or building operations. You should know health and safety rules. You must be good at organizing and solving problems.
