A respected consulting engineering firm based in Durbanville, Western Cape, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is perfect for someone with strong electrical engineering skills, especially in electrical infrastructure and reticulation projects. You will work in a team-focused environment where technical expertise and collaboration are highly valued.

As an Electrical Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing electrical engineering solutions for various infrastructure and development projects. Your key tasks will include designing electrical systems, preparing detailed technical documents, and ensuring all work meets South African standards and client requirements. You will work closely with other engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Site inspections and providing technical support during construction will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will offer guidance and expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning to completion.

To qualify for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. At least six years of relevant experience in electrical engineering is required, with a strong preference for experience in electrical reticulation. A solid understanding of electrical design principles and infrastructure projects is essential. You should also have excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. While professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa is not mandatory, it will be considered an advantage.
