Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Roodepoort, Gauteng, is looking for a Dispensary Support Assistant to join their team at the Hillfox store. This role is designed for learners who want to complete the Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant course. The position is temporary until qualification and registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a learner basic assistant. Once qualified, permanent employment may be offered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in selling Schedule 1 medicines and scheduled substances under pharmacist supervision.
- Prepare, pack, and label non-sterile medicines according to approved formulas.
- Unpack, organize stock, and maintain cleanliness of dispensary and shelves.
- Read and interpret prescriptions accurately, following SAPC legal requirements.
- Check medication accuracy, manage stock levels, and track patient scripts.
- Provide health information to customers and assist with chronic/HIV/AIDS/oncology medication schemes.
- Report stock issues or errors to the dispensary manager.

Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) with 50% in Pure Mathematics/Life Science/Physical Science and overall 50% average.
- Pass proficiency test for SAPC registration.
- South African citizenship with valid MIE certificate, clear criminal record, and good credit record.
- Strong communication skills in English and another language.
- Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and possess good time management and customer service skills.
- Computer and numerical skills preferred. Retail experience at Dis-Chem is a plus.
