What the job is

This is a Credit Controller position at The Building Company, based in Airport Industria, Cape Town. The company operates in the retail industry and is looking for someone to join their Shared Services team on a permanent basis.

What you will do

You will approve credit applications for customers and manage their accounts. You will handle account queries and recover debts from clients who owe money. You will ensure all work follows company policies and procedures. You will prepare reports and provide account quotations. You will manage credit activities, control project administration, and send monthly statements to clients. You will also perform general administrative tasks and promote the company’s values and culture.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and a tertiary qualification, preferably in accounting or credit management. You need knowledge of the National Credit Act and at least 4 years of experience in a related field.
