This job is for a Cosmetics Consultant at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in the Mall of Tembisa. You will work in retail, helping customers find and buy beauty and cosmetics products. The role is full-time and based in Tembisa, Gauteng.

As a Cosmetics Consultant, your main job will be to sell and promote Dis-Chem’s beauty and cosmetics products. You will provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and making product recommendations. You will also demonstrate products through makeovers, spray promotions, and other activities to attract customers. Managing stock is part of your role, which includes checking for damaged, expired, or missing items and reporting them to your manager. You will ensure product displays look appealing and keep up with new products, brands, and industry trends. Additionally, you will handle salon appointments, manage promotions, and follow Dis-Chem’s rules and safety guidelines.

To qualify for this job, you need to have completed Matric (Grade 12). Experience in retail sales is required, and being computer literate is important. You must be willing to work retail hours, which can include evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Any experience in cosmetics, fragrances, or beauty will be an advantage. You should have strong communication skills in English, be a team player, and understand how to read sales reports and stock reports. Previous sales training or experience with promotions will also be helpful. A valid driver’s license and your own transport are required, and you must be a South African citizen with a clean criminal and credit record.
