What the job is

This is a Content Strategist role at Red Ribbon Communications, a leading tech PR agency based in Cape Town, Western Cape. What you will do

You will define unique content themes for around 12 clients to ensure their stories stand out and do not overlap. You will create quarterly content calendars that keep topics fresh, relevant, and tied to current news or key awareness days. You will write briefs for copywriters, manage a team of freelance tech writers, and ensure all content is delivered on time. You will edit content for style, accuracy, and factual correctness, and refine hooks to help account managers pitch stories effectively. You will also repurpose approved thought leadership content into other formats like LinkedIn posts, blogs, newsletters, and sponsored articles.

What you need

You must have proven experience turning complex technology topics into engaging, journalist-ready stories. You need a sharp eye for detail, style consistency, and fact-checking. You should be skilled at briefing, onboarding, and managing freelance writers to produce high-quality drafts. You must be comfortable using Google Workspace and editorial tools to keep content organized. Strong self-motivation, collaboration skills, and the ability to work well with Senior Account Managers are essential.
