What the job is

This is a full-time Content Creator position at Pump and Abrasion Technologies, working under the Curve Gear brand in Maitland, Cape Town. The role focuses on creating engaging short-form videos and photos to promote Curve Gear’s products on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.

What you will do

You will shoot, edit, and optimize video and photo content that drives awareness, engagement, and sales. This includes recording high-quality footage on location, editing clips quickly using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro, and repurposing long-form content into multiple short posts. You will also create ads tailored for Meta and TikTok, test different hooks, and produce user-generated content (UGC) that feels authentic. Additionally, you will track trends, manage a content pipeline, and analyze performance data to improve future posts.

What you need

You must have strong skills in video and photo editing software, such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Canva, and a good understanding of lighting, framing, and sound recording. Experience with social media platforms and copywriting is essential. You should be adaptable, a good storyteller, and comfortable working with people on camera. A valid driver’s license, willingness to travel across South Africa, and availability for early morning or weekend shoots are required. A portfolio or active social media account showcasing your work is preferred.
