This job is for a Construction Safety Officer to work with a client company in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role is full-time and focuses on keeping construction sites safe by ensuring all safety rules are followed. You will work on big projects involving concrete construction and structural steel, helping to protect workers and ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks and unsafe conditions.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date safety documents like risk assessments and method statements.
- Deliver safety training through toolbox talks, inductions, and sessions.
- Investigate accidents or near misses and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure workers use proper safety gear (helmets, gloves, high-visibility clothing).
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to foster a strong safety culture.
- Travel to other sites in Africa as needed to support safety efforts.

Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- SAMTRAC qualification and registration with SACPCMP or equivalent as a Construction Health and Safety Officer.
- Experience in construction safety, including concrete construction and structural steel environments.
- Knowledge of South African safety laws and ability to perform risk assessments, site inspections, and incident reporting.
- Experience in safety training (toolbox talks, inductions).
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel within Africa when required.
