What the job is

This job is for a Club V Coach at Virgin Active’s Moreleta Park location in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will work in the Club-V Max area, designed for children, ensuring they have fun, stay active, and enjoy their time while following all safety rules. The role is permanent, offering a full-time position with the company.

What you will do

As a Club V Coach, your main responsibilities include:
- Leading fun classes and organizing activities for children in Club-V Max.
- Supervising children at all times and enforcing the two-hour rule (no child stays longer than two hours without a break or adult supervision).
- Planning and running holiday camps and activities, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Recording class attendance and completing bookings for camps on time via the LSR system.
- Selling Club-V Max memberships to new customers and securing referrals from guests, birthday parties, and holiday camps.
- Handling paperwork for new members, taking photos, and issuing membership cards.
- Addressing complaints promptly and providing feedback within 24 hours.
- Maintaining the Club-V Max area clean, safe, and well-stocked with toys, art supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Reporting accidents or issues immediately to management.
- Creating activity plans and schedules to ensure smooth operations.

What you need

To qualify for this role, you must:
- Hold a recognized fitness qualification and have a clean criminal record.
- Be certified in up-to-date first aid and Club-V/Active Play-specific training.
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to work with groups.
- Be comfortable using computers (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for schedules, reports, and member management.
- Possess excellent communication and motivational skills to engage children.
- Have a passion for working with children and leading physical activities.
- Be adaptable, curious, and willing to go above and beyond for children and families.
