What the job is: This is a casual, fixed-term position for a Frontshop Assistant at the Dis-Chem Pharmacies store in Longships Drive, Plettenberg Bay. You will work in a retail pharmacy environment, assisting customers and maintaining store organization and stock levels according to company standards. The role involves customer service and operational tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

What you will do: Ensure all products are neatly displayed, check stock levels regularly, restock shelves, and report issues like damaged or expired products. Handle customer transactions (cash, cards, vouchers, coupons) with accuracy. Assist customers with product inquiries, help unpack deliveries, organize the storeroom, and participate in stocktaking. Maintain store cleanliness and may assist in training new team members.

What you need: Matric (Grade 12) certificate required. Up to 6 months of retail experience preferred. Basic math skills for transactions and stock counts. Clear communication and ability to follow procedures independently. Advantageous: 1 year of retail experience or retail business management certification. Must be a South African citizen with a clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transport. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are useful.
