What the job is: This is a casual, fixed-term position for a Frontshop Assistant at the Dis-Chem Pharmacies store in the Foreshore area of Cape Town’s CBD. The role involves assisting customers at the point of sale while maintaining store organization and stock levels according to company standards. You will work directly with the team to ensure a smooth shopping experience for all customers.

What you will do:
- Ensure all products are neatly displayed on shelves and check for expired or out-of-stock items.
- Restock shelves, verify stock levels, and report issues to your manager.
- Handle customer transactions (cash, cards, vouchers, loyalty cards) with accurate cash handling and secure storage.
- Assist with product inquiries, exchanges, and authorized returns.
- Participate in stocktaking, storeroom organization, and unpacking deliveries.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist with training new team members.
- Report suspicious behavior or customer complaints.

What you need:
- Grade 12 (Matric or Senior Certificate) qualification.
- Up to 6 months of retail experience (preferred).
- Basic math skills for cash transactions and stock counts.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to follow procedures, work independently, and take responsibility.
- Additional skills (basic computer knowledge, SAP) are beneficial.
