What the job is: This is a part-time casual cashier position at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Mooirivier Mall, Potchefstroom. You will also handle returns and exchanges when allowed, keep track of cash in the till, and ensure it is stored safely in the drop safe.

You must follow Dis-Chem’s customer service rules, greet customers professionally, and report any complaints or compliments to your supervisor. It’s important to know about current sales and promotions and help customers with questions about products. You will also need to follow security rules, report any suspicious activity, and ensure all stock is scanned and paid for before leaving the store. Your job includes managing daily cash takings confidentially and only discussing them with management.

What you need: To apply, you need a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate and at least 6 months of experience working as a cashier or with till operations. You should be comfortable using computers, especially Microsoft Office, and have good math skills. Strong English communication is a must, and basic customer service experience is helpful. You must be willing to work during retail hours, which can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
