This is an internship opportunity for a Buyer at Pump and Abrasion Technologies (PABT), a global company specializing in designing and manufacturing heavy-duty slurry pumps. Located in Centurion, Gauteng, this role is part of a 12-month contract program focused on supply chain and procurement. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and finalizing orders for both direct and indirect materials. Your tasks will include managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchases, maintaining supply chains, comparing prices, negotiating with vendors, stock level management, demand forecasting, and collaborating with the technical team to ensure quality standards. Administrative tasks include processing requisitions, completing supplier application forms, and placing orders.

Requirements: BCom degree or related qualification. Experience in supply chain or procurement is helpful but not required. Knowledge of Syspro software and exposure to international procurement practices are a plus. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-driven, and able to work independently with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Benefits: Salary of R72,000 per year for the 12-month contract. Hands-on experience in supply chain management, exposure to international procurement, and practical skills in negotiation, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management.
