Business Development Manager

A leading logistics and supply chain company based in Cape Town is looking for a skilled Business Development Manager. This role involves growing the company’s business by securing new clients and managing key accounts across South Africa. Responsibilities include finding new business deals with importers, exporters, and freight forwarders, creating outreach plans, building relationships with decision-makers, and managing the sales process from first contact to closing deals. The role also involves preparing proposals, handling negotiations, and managing key accounts through upselling and cross-selling. Experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding, and bonded warehousing is required. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years in customs clearing and freight forwarding. A Matric certificate is the minimum qualification, though tertiary education in related fields is a plus.
