What the job is

A well-known company in the commercial and retail sector is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their finance team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a permanent position where you will support the Accountant with the daily financial tasks of the business.

What you will do

You will provide accurate financial and administrative support to the company. Your tasks will include managing reconciliations, handling creditors and debtors, and maintaining the general ledger. You will also assist with other bookkeeping duties and ensure all financial records are up to date and correct.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 or Matric certificate. A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping is a plus. You need at least 2 to 4 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting processes, and Excel is required. You should also have experience with accounting or ERP systems, good attention to detail, and strong organizational and time-management skills.
